Richard Madeley on abuse by the hands of his late father: ‘He simply misplaced it’

In an interview from 2008, Richard recalled the beatings he would get as a baby from his father Christopher – who died in 1977 aged 49.

Richard’s father stated sorry

Richard went on to insist he by no means stopped loving his father, dubbing him a caring and good man.
