The music world has misplaced a legendary member.

Singer Jimmy Buffett, beloved for his 1977 hit “Margaritaville,” has died on the age of 76.

“Jimmy handed away peacefully on the night time of September 1st surrounded by his household, mates, music and canine,” a press release posted to his social media accounts confirmed. “He lived his life like a track until the final breath and can be missed past measure by so many.”

No additional particulars on his demise have been shared publicly at the moment.

As information of his passing emerged on Sept. 2, many followers and fellow celebs paid tribute to Buffett on-line, together with Today‘s Hoda Kotb.
