EastEnders followers decry ‘pointless’ return as Zoe leaves once more

Followers of EastEnders have lashed out on the current return of Zoe Slater, with some decrying it as ‘pointless’ as she disappeared once more after a run of solely… three episodes (two, actually, as she spent most of Monday beneath a blanket).

Zoe returned to the cleaning soap following an absence of 20 years this week. On Monday,  it was revealed that she was hiding out in a rented flat with cousin Stacey. After getting a name from a annoyed Stacey, Alfie rushed over – the place he got here face-to-face with Zoe once more.

It rapidly emerged that Zoe’s suffering under the burden of a great secret. And, as Alfie and Stacey tried to persuade her to speak to mum Kat, Zoe fled once more… this time to Barcelona. Decided to reunite mom and daughter, Alfie set off in pursuit the following day.

Within the aftermath of Monday’s episode, new Govt Producer Ben Wadey and actress Michelle Ryan each weighed in on Zoe’s return.

Ben, promised extra to return, saying: “I used to be completely delighted when Michelle agreed to return, and I’m thrilled to welcome her again to Walford. While I can’t say an excessive amount of at this stage, Zoe’s return is simply one of many many thrilling storylines we’ve deliberate.”
