Citrus Newcomers Membership: Having enjoyable and staying busy | Life-style

Because the begin of our season, the Citrus Newcomers have been busy with myriad actions together with particular curiosity group conferences and video games, craft and artwork initiatives, area journeys and neighborhood involvement at our month-to-month conferences

Members have engaged in varied card video games, jewellery making/beading lessons, bunco and a Kumihimo Braiding class. Future plans for crafts embody a basket weaving class in Dunnellon and an acrylic cloth design lesson. Our kayaking group has begun their journeys and our “Bike It or Stroll It” is deliberate via June.

Our October assembly was held on the Kellner Auditorium in Beverly Hills and featured Ben Kampschoer from Jessie’s Place. Ben spoke of the necessity for Jessie’s Place and their job of serving to kids in our county who’ve suffered from abuse. Our members generously donated $500-plus to assist this worthwhile group.

Our Dec. 15 luncheon shall be held at Citrus Hills Golf and Nation Membership with a vacation celebration.
