One individual has died after a helicopter crashed onto the roof of a lodge in Cairns, Australia on Monday, Aug. 12.
In a press release, the Queensland Police Service confirmed that the pilot, who was the one occupant of the plane, was declared lifeless on the scene after the helicopter collided with the lodge roof.

“The pilot and single occupant of the plane was positioned and declared deceased on the scene, and forensic investigations are underway to formally establish them,” the Queensland Police continued.
